In the second quarter of 2025, the performance of the top social apps on the Android platform in the Netherlands showcased interesting trends. This analysis, based on Sensor Tower data, highlights the weekly downloads, revenue, and active users of the top five social apps.

TikTok - Videos, Shop & LIVE experienced fluctuations in its weekly revenue, starting strong at approximately $502K at the beginning of April, dipping mid-quarter, and peaking again at $527K in late May. Downloads were consistent, rising to about 29K by the end of June, while active users hovered around 1.8M, showing a gradual increase throughout the quarter.

Instagram maintained a steady growth in weekly revenue, beginning at $6.7K and reaching $12K by the end of June. Downloads peaked twice, first at 20.4K in late May and again at 22.9K in late June. Active users saw a slight decline from 2.9M to 2.8M.

Facebook showed a stable revenue pattern, starting with $6.6K and increasing to $8.6K by the quarter's end. Downloads were relatively stable, with a sharp increase to 24.4K in the last week of June. Active users remained around 2.9M, with minor fluctuations.

Threads had consistent download numbers, peaking at 20.5K in late June, while active users decreased slightly from 519K to 471K over the quarter.

Facebook Lite showed minimal revenue figures but had a notable increase in downloads, reaching 5.5K by the end of June. Active users increased from 66K to 76K, indicating a growing user base.
